Anyone who meets Andy would say he’s the greatest guy! Although he’s only been a member since the beginning of 2016, he always greets you with a smile, never meets a stranger at the box, and even in the toughest workouts, he will encourage you and make you smile. We are so proud to celebrate our CFG Athlete of the Month, Andy Bridges.
Andy started out like many people do. He didn’t have a lot of experience and was out of shape. “I’d make a lot of excuses about not having time and could not keep motivated in a traditional gym.” – these are the words Andy Bridges thought about when his friend Elizabeth told him he should come check out Crossfit Greenwood. Andy’s first WOD was Fight Gone Bad and although it was the hardest workout he’d ever done, he still remembers giving it all he got.
His favorite workout is Grace and although he doesn’t have a least favorite one, he definitely doesn’t like the assault bike. I believe many of us can agree with that!!
His favorite moment so far at CFG was his first bar muscle up and his biggest achievement since he started in the Spring of 2016, just a few short months ago, is that he has already lost 28 pounds.
His one goal is to keep getting better. He shared, “ I’ve got a long way to go, but I’ve already come a long way. The best advice I can give would be consistency. Just keep showing up and doing the best you can.”
We are so glad Andy is part of our CFG family and that we can be a part of all the great success he’s already accomplished and goals to come! If you’ve been thinking about joining Crossfit, or been making excuses like Andy did, now is the time to stop and get committed to the best decision for your health and life!
