How did you get started with Crossfit?
I started Crossfit back in Charlotte about 2.5 years ago. I joined Crossfit Greenwood in January of 2015 when I moved back. I was so pumped because I was ready to get back at it.
What do you remember about your first WOD? Or what is one memorable WOD for you?
I’d have to say the first time I got Toes to bar. It was during a benefit Wod for a member of Crossfit 864. It was awesome! I just remember Justin and Kevin saying, “No more knee raises for you.”
What are your goals in terms of Crossfit or Fitness in general?
I want to get in the best shape of my life and compete at a high level.
Favorite WOD/Skill: I’m tall, So I’d have to say Wall Balls and Rowing.
Least favorite WOD/Skill: Running! Hate Running! It’s something I’m working on and I’ve gotten a lot better at.
Hobbies, Interests, or Talents outside of Crossfit: I’m a big Clemson fan. Enjoy going to football games in the fall. Love music, I’ve dabbled in doing & making music. I couldn’t live without music. I’m a sneakerhead. I already have 3 pairs of metcons and just ordered some more. I Like looking stylish haha
Getting up that ROPE!! It was a great feeling climbing up that rope.
Doing the Crossfit Open. I wasn’t really going to sign up. But Justin talked me into it and I’m glad he did. It was awesome to see everyone give it their all and push each other. To be a part of that was awesome and I’m really looking forward to it next year.
Any advice for people just getting started?
I’d say it’s going to look crazy at first! You’re going to say I can’t do that. You’re going to have weaknesses, but also strengths. You’re going to be sore. You’re going to meet an awesome group of people that will push you to get better.
Lastly, I would tell them 4 words I tell myself.
